The service was delayed due to Covid-19

A daily service from Cork to Amsterdam with Dutch airline KLM will commence on Monday 3rd August.

Today's announcement follows months uncertainty for Cork Airport and the aviation industry due to travel restrictions imposed because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Yesterday it was confirmed that Ryanair would resume flights to 23 European destinations next wednesday, including Lanzarote, Malaga, Naples, and Tenerife.

Passengers flying in and out of Cork this Summer will need to wear a face mask onboard flights and in the airport terminal.

Plexiglas screens will also be in place at customer services desks, and social distancing measures will fall in line with Government advice.

In a statement issued to RedFM News, Head of Communications at Cork Airport Kevin Cullinane says the benefits of the new route will be felt at home and abroad:
