Passengers using Cork Airport will be strongly recommended to wear face masks or coverings inside the Terminal as management prepare for the gradual ramp up of its operations over the coming months

From next Tuesday only passengers with a valid ticket should enter the Departures or Check-in area of the Terminal to reduce the number of people inside the airport building

Cork Airport will look a little different also with multiple plexiglass screens fitted throughout the terminal, sanitisation stations and freestanding/wall mounted sanitising units installed.

The measures reflect Ireland's national COVID-19 guidelines and also best practice in the European aviation sector, to ensure that passengers feel safe and secure as they arrive and depart from Cork Airport.

Speaking to RedFM News Kevin Cullinane of Cork Airport says people who are dropping passengers off or meeting arrivals will be encouraged to wait outside the terminal building
