Cork Chamber Calls For Government To Engage With Ryanair

It's after the airline threatened to close it's base at Cork Airport for the winter.

The budget airline says current travel restrictions could force it to lay off 130 staff at Cork and Shannon airports and is calling for more countries to be added to the greenlist.

In response, the government has promised to review the greenlist of ten countries next Monday.

Cork Airport was Ireland fastest growing airport before the pandemic hit, however management now expect just 600,000 passengers will travel through the terminal this year.
