They will also be at walk amenities across the county

It's in response to the government's new and stricter measures which were introduced on Friday evening to help stop the spread of Covid-19.

Rangers have been deployed at Ballincollig Regional Park, the Blackrock Passage Walk, the Lough area, and the Curraheen Walk.

People are being encouraged to exercise within 2km of their home throughout the coronavirus crisis, and the Council have confirmed the rangers are there to ensure proper social distancing measures are being taken.

The government has also clarified that people can go further than 2km from their home to buy food, medicine, and tend to vital family matters.
