A Cork doctor is warning that anyone suffering with hay fever at the minute might actually have caught Covid 19.
Symptoms such as sneezing, a blocked nose and even loss of taste are common to both illnesses.
The pollen count is expected to increase with the improving weather as we head into the summer.
Dr Doireann O’Leary says you might want to test yourself just in case:
"So the runny nose, or even the scratchy cough, and even change of sense of taste and smell. So a lot of people actually are being confused with having Covid, when it's actually just hay fever symptoms, you know".
