The Health Bill was signed by Minister Simon Harris on the 19th of March for the purpose of preventing and slowing the spread of COVID-19.
Gardaí from Togher were on patrol in The Lough area of the City on April 27th when a man shouted towards them.
Gardaí questioned the man about the purpose of his journey however he refused to tell them why he was outside and would not give them his name and other details.
The man was arrested and brought to the Bridewell Garda station.
A file was prepared for the DPP and the man was charged in relation to the incident.
He's due to appear before Cork City District Court this morning.
Gardaí say so after they have arrested or taken the details of 49 people over the alleged breach of Covid-19 legislation.
