Cork Mum hits out at paperwork delays preventing returning nurses taking up positions

A Cork Mum says her daughter who returned home to help frontline staff through the COVID19 outbreak is instead at home watching boxsets due to delays with paperwork.

Eilish's daughter is a qualified nurse who trained in Scotland however she has been advised since she returned to Ireland that because she never registered here it will take 90 days to complete the process.

It follows comments by Tánaiste Simon Coveney on Cork's RedFM this morning that all paperwork is being fast tracked.

Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Eilish says nurses are needed now more than ever and frontline staff who answered the call to come home shouldn't become victim to red tape:
