Hundreds of people in Cork have signed up to a new volunteer shopping service which aims to help those who may be housebound during the crisis.
Cork Volunteer Shoppers for the Vulnerable was set up on Sunday and have been dropping flyers to homes across the city and county since then, asking anyone who may be isolated or in need of help to contact them.
It's one of a number of groups including GAA clubs and Community organisations to offer help to elderly and vulnerable people since the restrictions took hold.
Speaking to RedFM News, co-founder Rachael Sherlock from Cork Volunteer Shoppers for the Vulnerable explains how the service works:
The group can be reached by text on 083 482 0476 or on via the Cork Volunteer Shoppers for the Vulnerable on Facebook
