VFI members gathered outside the offices in Carrigaline to call for a date for the reopening of pubs almost 6 months after they were shut.
New draft guidelines from Fáilte Ireland suggest pubs offer table service only, however customers will be allowed to stay for a as long as they like where two metre distancing is possible.
Publicans have welcomed the new guidelines, however they say they need a date for reopening urgently.
Speaking to RedFM News, Cork publican and VFI chair in the City Michael O'Donovan, says the guidelines are almost identical to those given to restaurants in June:
