In a letter to parents and guardians dated yesterday, the HSE says it was notified of two linked cases of Covid-19 at Douglas Community School.

Close contacts have been informed and the letter states that children whose families have not been contacted can continue to attend classes.

A case of the virus was also confirmed at Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn in Montenotte in recent days.

The Department of Public Health HSE South says it is monitoring the school situation closely and is advising children to stay home from school if they develop any Covid-like symptoms.
