Two Cork sisters are camping in a shack in Kilbrin for a week and live streaming their experience to raise money for a school building charity in South Africa.

Leah and Nicola Corkery are on day three of seven at their galvanised shed and have so far raised over €6,000 of their €10,000 target.

The Corkery family have a long involvement with Mellon Educate's fundraising efforts in Cape Town and were determined to continue their efforts after being forced to cancel this year's trip due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking to RedFM News, Leah Corkery outlines how her family got involved.

"My dad started going a number of years ago, I think 8 or 9 years ago.

"Then all our family starting getting involved - I've done three trips, my younger sister Holly has done two trips, my uncle has done 9 trips, and last year my aunt came out as well and she's done one.

"So between us all we've done twenty trips."
