The figure means the virus is being suppressed here, and comes as the HSE says it can now complete up to 140,000 Covid tests a week.
Meanwhile, the 14-day incidence rate has fallen to 228 cases per 100,000 population, with drops recorded in 23 counties.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has told the Oireachtas Health Committee he's concerned about Dublin;
"Dublin isn't reducing in terms of cases as much as we would like to see, he said"
"Dublin South West isn't seeing any reduction but in Dublin North it's actually going back up again"
