1,875 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed this evening.
326 patients are being treated for the virus in hospital, down six from yesterday, with 59 in intensive care.
The 14-day incidence rate has risen to 531 per 100,000, and Ireland's now classified as 'dark red' by the ECDC, due to the high level of the virus.
Chief medical officer, Tony Holohan, is urging people to be cautious over the weekend.
