The death toll from Covid-19 in the Republic has risen to 174.
6 more people today are confirmed to have died from the virus, while 370 new cases have been confirmed.
It brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 5,364.
Health Minister Simon Harris says the rate of growth is slowing - but is still too high.
"I think that works out at about a 7% increase in new cases, so some encouraging signs in terms of the rate of growth, but too early to say.
"We're entering a very crucial week, this virus is very much here, it is still at an unsustainable level - I need to be honest with you in that regard.
"While we're making progress we're not yet where we need to be."
