Yesterday marked 100 days of protests and rallies nationwide
Over 2000 workers, including 330 in Cork, lost their jobs in April, after the retail giant announced the closure of their Irish stores due to Covid-19.
Since then, former Debenhams workers have staged several protests and rallies in Cork and nationwide, calling for a better deal.
A rally was held outside the Patrick's Street branch yesterday afternoon, as well as Dublin, Limerick, Kerry, and Galway.
Workers are hoping the basic 2 weeks pay per year of service can be doubled to 4 weeks pay per year.
Speaking to RedFM News, former Shop Steward at the Patrick's Street branch Valerie Conlon says while public support has been great, the lack of engagement from Debenhams means little progress has been made:
