The Taoiseach says details of an investigation into the Government's handling of the Covid-19 pandemic will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
Today marks a national day of remembrance and recognition for the people who died over the last two years.
Micheál Martin won't be able to attend today's ceremony in the Garden of Remembrance in Dublin, after he tested positive for Covid-19 on his visit to the US this week.
Speaking in Washington, the Taoiseach says there will be an investigation into the official handling of pandemic:
"There more details of that in the coming weeks, it is important, and we are determined to do it because we need to learn any lessons that have to be learned, and also with a view to the future pandemic was to arise, or another crisis, and that we will learn those lessons and respond even more effectively."
