There will be an effort to maximise earnings in the live entertainment industry from the spring and early summer.
Arts minister Catherine Martin says that seems to be the "safer period in the pandemic".
She believes there will be an opportunity to do as much business as possible if the hospital pressure reduces:
"I think we need to make the most of of the summer and open as much as possible, in what seems to be the safer period in the pandemic. That's what I'd like to see happen. And support as much of that as possible. When we have the opportunities, I think we should open as fully as possible and you know, get people on stage, get them earning a living."
