Employers are being advised to take a tentative approach when welcoming workers back to offices.
The current advice from government is for people to work from home unless they need to attend in person.
Future of Work Consultant, Kevin Empey, says some employees may be nervous about going back into the office:
"Over the next few months, it's going to be a very tentative, and almost experimental, return because COVID is still there. It's still with us, and it's also going to be tactically and operationally quite a challenge so I think for the next few months for this transition phase, if you like, is going to be quite a gradual return because employees themselves are a bit nervous and apprehensive as well. And of course some of them are dying to get back and employers are well aware of that too."
