The family members of the people who died due to an outbreak of Covid-19 at Ballynoe Nursing Home in White's Cross say they can't rest until they get answers.
The group are calling for Taoiseach Micheál Martin to meet with them to hear their stories and are appealing for him to do all he can to establish an independent public inquiry into what happened at nursing homes across the country.
24 residents died at Ballynoe in January and February of last year, with some family members saying they had no idea their relatives were about to die until they were told they needed to come to the home for a final visit.
Christine Brohan and her family watched their mother Kathleen die from outside the window of her room at Ballynoe on the 1st of February last year...
Christine told RedFM News that she can't get the memory of that night out of her head.
"The night I saw my mam dying - I can still see it every single day, not being able to be with her. All those people died on their own.
"The trauma that it's caused for families... I personally can't get my head around it, I can't get over it, other families can't get over it. It's just ongoing all the time, until we find out what went so wrong, and how it went so wrong."
RedFM News has contacted the Department of the Taoiseach for comment.
