Ferrero defends decision to maintain production at Cork plant

Italian confectionary company Ferrero has defended it's decision to produce Tic Tacs at it's factory in Cork despite the Covid-19 crisis.

The Echo reports that Ferrero say ensuring the health of its employees is their top priority.

The company, which have a factory on the Kinsale Road, say the productio of food "falls under the critical sectors that should be maintained during the current crisis."

The factory has been producing the sweets since 1995 and now supplys 45% of the worlds Tic Tacs
