The Finance Minister has confirmed there's no plans to cut the pay of politicians during the Covid-crisis.
Calls were made after the Prime Minister of New Zealand and her cabinet took a 20 per cent pay cut.
Ds have been given a number of pay rises in recent years bringing their basic salary to €96,000.
But Minister Paschal Donohoe says cabinet ministers did not benefit from those.
"I have not experienced any of the wage increases in recent years, that many other public servants or indeed many politicians have.
"I didn't believe at the time and I don't be live now that it would be appropriate for me to get the wage improvements that were available to many.
"Because of that my plan at the moment is not to implement any further changes in that area."
