Focus Ireland claims there could be a new wave of homelessness after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The charity has written to Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and the Greens, who are all involved in government formation talks.
It says a number of welcome measures have been taken, such as temporary rent freezes and a ban on evictions.
But the charity's Roughan McNamara says they're not enough.
"Once they're lifted as the country comes out of lockdown, we're very fearful there will be a backlog of evictions and a lot of people will become homeless.
"That's why we've contacted the political leaders of the three parties involved in government formation talks, calling for urgent development of a clear roadmap out of this public health emergency in the area of homelessness."
