The North's First Minister is strongly criticising Mary Lou McDonald for suggesting Covid-19 strengthens the case for a united Ireland.
The Sinn Féin president says the coronavirus would be a greater accelerant towards a 32-county state than Brexit.
First Minister Arlene Foster says the comments were inappropriate.
"I think the most important job for me as First Minister of Northern Ireland is to protect lives, to save lives.
"So I do think it's regrettable that other leaders are interested in constitutional navel gazing at this time.
"I think it would be important for us to look back with hindsight when we're not in the middle of a pandemic, but for others their priorities lie elsewhere, I think that is regrettable."
