Funding needed to help childcare providers get their businesses back on track

The future of the childcare sector rests on the decisions of Ministers later today, according to Early Childhood Ireland.

Cabinet is expected to discuss proposals for re-opening creches across the country on June 29th - but the group says funding is badly needed to help care-givers get their businesses back.

Earlier this month, the government was forced to cancel a proposal for childcare for healthcare workers due to a lack of up-take from providers.

Frances Byrne from Early Childhood Ireland outlines some of the industry's concerns:
