The future of the childcare sector rests on the decisions of Ministers later today, according to Early Childhood Ireland.
Cabinet is expected to discuss proposals for re-opening creches across the country on June 29th - but the group says funding is badly needed to help care-givers get their businesses back.
Earlier this month, the government was forced to cancel a proposal for childcare for healthcare workers due to a lack of up-take from providers.
