The couple had to marry in isolation due to the Covid-19 restrictions and the donation of iPads meant their families could be involved

The generosity of the Cork public allowed a wedding ceremony held at Marymount Hospice at the weekend to be beamed around the world

On Friday RedFM News ran an appeal for people to donate iPads to the hospice so that patients could stay in contact with their family and friends

The technology appeal was a big success and at the weekend one of Marymount's patients got married in isolation but the iPads allowed them involve their families in their big day by transmitting the ceremony to various parts of the world

Oriel House Hotel in Ballincollig stepped in to help the couple by donating items to brighten their wedding space

Management at Marymount said all this was made possible by the support and generosity of the public and they have issued a sincere thank you to everyone for their support
