Chairperson of the GP Committee of the Irish Medical Organisation, Dr Denis McCauley, says not turning up to the correct second vaccine appointment could lead to problems with Digital Covid Certs:
"Unfortunately, we are seeing a new presentation in that a number of people are not attending for their second vaccine. Which for the service user is an issue because that will have difficulties in that they won't have a vaccination cert., so they may indeed, practically, have two vaccines a month apart in two different locations but both locations will put it down as them having their first vaccine. So therefore when they then apply for a digital Covid cert, they won't be able to get one."
