The head of Ryanair says the company expects to be operating at pre-Covid levels in most countries within the next two months - except Ireland.

The airline's moving up to a fifth of its Irish capacity to other European bases where aviation has recovered faster.

Michael O'Leary has accused the Irish government of not having a plan for reviving the sector.

He says 60 new aircraft are being delivered this summer - with none being allocated to Ireland:

"We were operating in August, probably at about 75% of pre-COVID volumes. How soon can we get back to 90% or 100% pre-Covid volumes? We think that in most markets with the notable exception of Ireland, we will be back there by about September or October."
