Health experts will decide today whether mass gatherings should be cancelled due to the coronavirus.
The National Public Health Emergency Team will give guidance on St Patrick's Day parades and other big events.
Dr Tony Holohan, from the Department of Health, says there's been only one confirmed case of the illness in the Republic.
He says he will update the public again later today.
