The Health Minister is urging people to keep their contacts to a minimum as Ireland enters phase two of our roadmap to ease Covid 19 restrictions.
From today many shops will reopen, and the 5k travel restriction has been scrapped.
People can travel anywhere in their county or up to 20k from their home.
But Minister Simon Harris says people should limit the amount of people they are coming in contact with.
"Now is not the time to meet your second cousin once removed.
"You might have missed your mum or your dad or your brother or sister, you might want to have your next door neighbour in for a cup of tea.
"But let's keep our close contacts to a minimum, so we can safely get through this phase."
