Hoteliers say they're seeing a slight increase in bookings ahead of Valentine's Day.
Last year, couples' celebrations were hindered by a level five lockdown, with hotels only able to open for essential purposes.
President of the Irish Hotels Federation, Elaina Fitzgerald Kane, says the sector's hoping for a busy week ahead:
"Business levels, you know, there is a bit of an uplift in terms of Valentine's Day, but business levels in general are still quite down when you compare it to two years ago or pre-pandemic. The off-shoot of that or, I suppose, the uplift there is that there is great value available, there is plenty of availability. And our recommendations to people would be to book direct."
