Threshold is appealing to families to get the Home Team together this bank holiday weekend and make a den at home and either host a Facebook fundraiser or donate directly to the charity's website.
Threshold has already dealt with over 1,000 new cases in Cork in the first four months of this year and the charity says while the temporary ban on evictions and rent increases has provided some relief to renters they're worried that once these measures are lifted that people will be left in precarious situations.
Edel Conlon from Threshold told RedFM News that they're concerned that renters could be issued with notices through the doors and asked to leave their properties:
