Women are attending maternity appointments and scans alone due to Covid-19

Partners are allowed into maternity hospitals for a limited time when a woman is in active labour.

Dr Peter McKenna, clinical director of the women’s and infants’ programme with the HSE, says the policy is unlikely to change for now:
