The report recommends a change to Ireland's Post Office network to a Public Service Obligation model similar to the likes of the UK, France and Spain.
In a subsequent statement An Post says both of its delivery and Post Office networks are performing very well through Covid-19.
However it says it does recognise the decline in footfall and incomes and its' working with government to address the issues.
Speaking to RedFM News Ned O'Hara of the Irish Postmasters Union says it's hard to pinpoint where the closures will be
