The interim Chief Medical Officer says people should meet up outdoors where possible this summer to limit the spread of Covid 19.
Professor Breda Smyth has also said that people should wear masks on public transport.
The Irish Times reports that in her latest update to the Health Minister, Professor Smyth says there is no indication for changing any of the existing public health advice in light of the 'recently observed deterioration' in the profile of the virus.
