Ireland at the higher end of the scale for deaths in nursing homes

Ireland is on the higher end of the scale when it comes to Coronavirus deaths in nursing homes, according to the WHO.

Figures show nursing homes account for 62 per cent of deaths, while the international average is just 25%.

However, not all countries compiled the figures the same way and the WHO says the government here reacted quickly to the problem in nursing homes.
