Temperatures will be in the mid-20s for the first half of the week before dropping back down on Thursday or Friday.

The weather for the weekend is uncertain as hurricane Larry sits out in the Atlantic.

Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather sets out what we can expect for the beginning of the week.

"Up to 24 degrees on Monday, possibly as high as 25 or even locally 26 degrees on Tuesday, which probably be the warmest day. Still 24/25 degrees on Wednesday, and then probably drop them back to low 20s by Thursday there."
