The latest figures show air traffic fell by 85% in April

The Irish Aviation Authority says the best way to support the thousands employed in the Irish aviation industry is to lift travel restrictions.

The latest figures show air traffic fell by 85% in April, with every airport in Ireland reporting a significant reduction in air traffic.

There were just 225 movements at Cork Airport last month, a decrease of almost 94% compared to the same month last year.

Speaking to RedFM News, Paul Brandon from the Irish Aviation Authority says they're hopeful that the worst has passed:
