The Irish Hotels Federation claims the tourism industry is in danger of being 'obliterated' by the coronavirus crisis.
It's calling on the government to set out a clear plan for the full reopening of hotels.
Elaina Fitzgerald-Kane, the president of the federation, says urgent action is needed.
"Well as it stands at the moment with 90% of hotels closed, I suppose what you can infer from that is in terms of tourism there is a risk of it being obliterated.
"70% of hotel jobs are outside Dublin, so there's a huge regional impact.
"It's fair to say that without the right measures, all of those jobs are at risk, that's the reality, or certainly a significant proportion of them.
"You're talking about hundreds of thousands of people."
