This hasn't been allowed since earlier this year because of concerns about the spread of Covid 19.
But now the HSE is set to allow partners attend the scan following a campaign against the restrictions, according to the Irish Times.
Partners will also be allowed attend any surgical interventions.
Over 50 thousand people have signed a petition against the restrictions.
