More than 2,000 people are facing lockdown lay-offs in Kildare.
County Kildare Chamber says 1,200 have lost their jobs over the past two weeks since the restrictions were imposed, and another 1,000 layoffs are on the way after the lockdown was extended.
Chief executive Allan Shine says yesterday's announcement was a big blow.
