Tanaiste Simon Coveney was speaking on The Neil Prendeville Show this morning.
Coveney was urging the public to get their information from reputable sources as many false stories have been circulating on social media.
The Tanaiste also spoke to Neil about the pub closures, stock piling, travel and what are the next steps in slowing down the spread of the virus in Ireland.
