That's according to Tánaiste Simon Coveney who says guidelines around social distancing are designed to save lives.

651 people died from Covid-19 in Italy on Sunday.

906 people have been diagnosed as having the virus in this country while 4 people have died.

The Health Minister Simon Harris said the government will consider introducing stricter rules on social distancing after scenes of crowds at beauty spots across the country

Gardaí turned a number of people away from the cliff walk in Ballycotton yesterday due to the large crowds in the village.

Speaking to RedFM News in the past hour, Tánaiste Simon Coveney says people need to listen to the advice of experts:
