The Lord Mayor of the City says the actions of a few are going to affect us all.

It comes as large crowds gathered in the City Centre on Saturday night.

Gardaí swooped on a gang suspected of dealing drugs, leading to a foot chase through busy streets.

One man's been charged with public order offences, and another has been given a caution.

Two youths have been referred to the Juvenile Diversion Programme -- and four men have been released as files are readied for the DPP.

Lord Mayor Joe Kavanagh says the selfishness of some is unfair.

"These people cannot see the reality of the situation, and it's an absolute disaster - and next weekend will probably be no different.

"I really don't know where we're going to go from here.

"And I can see NPHET and the Government impose further restrictions to the middle of December if we don't cop ourselves on."
