A makeshift outdoor cinema has been helping a Cork City neighbourhood better deal with Covid-19 restrictions.

Residents of Frankfield Villas on Windmill Road in the city have been enjoying classic movies on Friday nights while sticking to social distancing rules.

The movies are projected onto the gable end of a house, the sound can be picked up on FM radios and people can watch from the comfort of their front gardens or windows.

Scott Duggan, who came up with the innovative idea to lift people's spirits and raise money for Age Action, says he hopes to bring the idea to suitable locations across the city in the coming week.
