Some McDonalds drive-throughs, along with doughnut shop Krispy Kreme, will open up again in Dublin as a trial today.

The Blanchardstown doughut shop plans to offer free coffee and pastries to gardaí, firefighters and health workers.

Meanwhile, McDonalds will open drive-through hatches at six of its restaurants in the capital.

It's eight weeks since the fast food chain, which is Ireland's biggest buyer of beef, shut down completely.
