Medical Professionals Urged To Test For Coronavirus If Patients Present With Any Respiratory Illness

The call was made at last night's briefing by the Department of Health after confirmation of the first death from the virus in Ireland.

The person who died, an elderly woman in a hospital in the east of the country, also had underlying health issues.

There are now 43 people in the Republic of Ireland with coronavirus, with nine more cases confirmed yesterday.
