A Fine Gael senator says it was a missed opportunity that the Minister for Health and the Chief Medical Officer didn't have a conversation about Electric Picnic a few weeks ago.
It's after Dr Tony Holohan said earlier this week that he didn't have an issue with the festival going ahead for vaccinated people.
Yesterday Laois Co. Council said it couldn't reverse the decision not to grant a licence for the event.
