Tánaiste Leo Varadkar has said that's the day Government hopes indoor hospitality will be able to resume for the first time this year.
Varadkar has said work is under way to finalise the guidelines for that re-opening:
You know we're getting things in place. It looks like we're gonna have an app reader that restauranteurs and publicans can use to verify that the COVID search is valid and so on, and a lot of good work has been done on that, and we're kind of targeting Monday the 26th really because it has to go to the schaunard, we need to allow the president time to consider the bill and sign this, and we need to get some regulations and a few things like that in place.
