Chief medical officer Tony Holohan says certain steps need to be taken before any measures are lifted.
"Until we have strong public health response consisting of case detection, contact tracing, testing and isolation and quarantine verifiably in place we won't be able to lift theses measures.
"We're working hard to makes sure that we have that."
