Nearly €24,000 has been raised through a hardship fund for sex workers in Ireland.
SWAI says the fund is a way to help the invisible community survive during the crisis.
The donations so far have ranged from five to €10,000.
Director of Sex Workers Alliance Ireland, Kate McGrew, says the industry poses even more risks due to Covid-19.
"This crisis has laid bare that even a global pandemic can't end demand for sex work.
"People are still looking at their situations, they have mouths to feed and they have rent to pay, and have very little support.
"So they're being faced with the dangerous risk of taking work when it comes up for them."
